This lot features a Tony Lazzeri 1933-34 Louisville Slugger vault marked W39 model game used bat. The bat shows outstanding game use with ball marks, ball stitch marks, small handle crack and cleats marks. There are remnants of factory side writing that isn't discernible. Both the knob and the top barrel have been vault marked with model number W39. The bat measures 35 inches, weighs 37 ounces and has remained in remarkable condition with a nice, sharp Tony Lazzeri signature stamp on the barrel. Incredibly rare and sought after bat from Hall of Famer Tony Lazzeri, one of the original "murderer's row" 1927 New York Yankees team. Accompanied by a Letter of Authenticity from PSA/DNA John Taube grading the bat a GU 7 overall.
