This lot features a stunning 2008 Ohio State University BIG-TEN football Championship Ring produced by world-renowned Balfour. The ring remains in great overall condition. This OSU ring has amazing detail on the shanks, along with famous Ohio St. block “O” embossed on a deep, dark, scarlet translucent stone, with (4) CZ diamonds representing the 4 consecutive Big 10 men's football Championships from 2005-2008. One shank features the Buckeye logo and the 42-7 victory over Michigan to secure the Big 10 Championship. The Buckeyes finished the regular season an impressive 10-2 (7-1 in Conference), loosing only to #1 ranked USC Trojans and #3 ranked Penn State. The Buckeyes finished 9th in the Nation in the AP and 10th in the Coaches Poll after the 2008 season concluded. The aesthetically pleasing ring is the same ring as the one given to players, weighs 35.1-Grams and is a size- 8 to 8.5. It was made for Patricia Meek who worked in Ohio State's Athletic Department.
