This lot features a well preserved 1960 New York Yankees team signed baseball. The ball has a total of 25 signatures including: Yogi Berra and Mickey Mantle (CH) on the sweet spot, Roger Maris, Bill Stafford, Ralph Terry, Gil McDougald, Dale Long, Bobby Shantz, Ed (Whitey) Ford, Jim Coates, Hector Lopez, Tony Kubek, Luis Arroyo, Bob Turley, Art Ditmar, Eli Grba, Bill "Moose" Skowron, Clete Boyer, Bobby Richardson, Johnny Blanchard, Bob Cerv and Elston Howard. The 1960 Yankee went 97-57 and would go on to face the Pirates in the World Series. They outscored Pittsburgh 55-27, yet somehow lost the Series in 7 games in one of the craziest statistical oddities in baseball history. Roger Maris won the AL MVP Award in 1960 making this a highly sought after ball amongst Maris collectors.
