Incredibly rare and sought after 1928 New York Yankees original Associated Press photo dated October 4th, 1928. The photo is in VG condition with some edge wear and creasing. The photo has the Associated Press stamp on the back as well as being dated stamped August 4th, 1928. This team photo was taken while the Yankees were practicing before they met the St. Louis Cardinals in the World Series. The '28 team went 101-53 and would go on to sweep the Cardinals 4 games to zero. Ruth led the American League with 54 HR's and 142 RBI's in 1928.
