This unique Minnesota Twins lot features 3 one-of-kind stadium banners that hung outside the Metrodome during the 2006 Minnesota Twins season in which they went 96-66 to win the AL Central Division Title. The 3 double sided banners feature" Joe Mauer, Justin Morneau and Johan Santana. The 2006 season was especially memorable for the Twins because of the players individual achievements. This is the first time a team had the league MVP, Batting Champion and Cy Young Winner in the same season. Justin Morneau was named AL MVP with 34 HR's 130 RBI and a .321 BA, Joe Mauer won the AL Batting Title with a .347 BA and Johan Santana won the Cy Young Award going 19-6 with a 2.77 ERA. The players on the reverse of these banners include: Joe Nathan, Kyle Lohse and Juan Rincon. These 3 unique banners have each been individually signed: "Joe Mauer #7, 2006 AL Batting Champ", "Justin Morneau #33, '06 AL MVP" and "Johan Santana #57, 2006 AL CY '06" If not for an injury to rookie phenom Francisco Liriano who was 12-3 with a 2.16 ERA at the time of his injury, this team may have gone on to bigger and better things.
