This lot features an incredibly rare Magic Johnson 1992 Dream Team I full uniform. The 1992 United States men's Olympic basketball team, nicknamed the "Dream Team", was the first American Olympic team to feature active NBA players. They defeated their opponents by an average of almost 44 points en route to the gold medal against Croatia at the 1992 Summer Olympics held in Barcelona. Magic teamed with Larry, Michael and a cast of Hall Of Famers to make up the greatest sports team ever assembled. Magic is an NBA Top 50 player, Hall of Fame Class of 2002. On the left front tail is the “Champion” manufacturer’s tag with wash instructions and size “44”. Adjacent is a second “Champion” tag with “Designed & Tailored Exclusively for 1992 Summer Olympic Games”. On the inner left seam are two flag tags, “100% Nylon” and “2” Extra Body Length”. Across the front is “USA BASKETBALL” painted on in red, white and blue. Player number “15” appears on both the front and back in painted on red numbers with a white border. Player name “JOHNSON” appears across the back in painted on white block letters. At the left chest is the Champion “C” logo patch. The jersey is properly tagged as are the shorts with the “Designed & Tailored Exclusively for 1992 Summer Olympic Games” tag and the "Champion size 36". Magic has signed both the jersey and the shorts in silver marker and has added a special "Dream Team" inscription to the jersey. Exceedingly rare and highly coveted Magic Johnson 1992 Dream Team I uniform.
