This lot features an exceedingly rare, unopened 1980 Topps baseball card vending case. The 1980 Topps baseball cards are very popular among collectors due to their aesthetic appeal and the fact that it features Rickey Henderson's highly treasured Oakland A's rookie card #482. There are many cards in this 1980 issue that are coveted in high grades and this presents a great opportunity to acquire mint baseball cards of rookies, stars and Hall of Famers that have never been touched. In particular, the Rickey Henderson card trades for over $100,000 in Gem Mint 10 condition. You'd likely acquire 20-25 Henderson rookies that have never been touched if you were to open the case. The case remains sealed, and the original Topps Chewing Gum bill of lading is still affixed to the outside of the case. It was originally ordered directly from Topps by our consignor and placed in storage where it has sat all these years. There are 24 unsearched vending boxes in this sealed case.
