Daryl Strawberry 1987 New York Mets road gray game issued playoff jersey features "NEW YORK" across the chest, "STRAWBERRY" across the back and his number "18" on both sides, all in blue-on-orange tackle twill. The inside front tail of the jersey features a "Rawlings size 42" manufacturer's tag with "18PO87" and "2 Inch Extra Length" swatches sewn in. The jersey does not exhibit any evidence of game use which is appropriate given the jersey was never actually worn. The Mets lost the Eastern Division to the St. Louis Cardinals despite winning 92 games. Strawberry had 39 HR's with 104 RBI and a .284 BA in 1987. Strawberry has signed the front of the jersey in black marker. This jersey was originally acquired directly from Darryl Strawberry's representative back in the late 1980's.
