Rickey Henderson 1990 Oakland Athletics game used jersey features "HENDERSON" across the back on a white name plate in green tackle twill. "ATHLETICS" and his number "24" on both sides are all sewn in with green-on-yellow tackle twill. The inside tail of the jersey features a "Rawlings 42" manufacturer's/size tag as well as a "Set 1 1990" flag tag sewn in. The jersey shows nice overall use with stain on the right sleeve and has been signed on the front by Rickey in black marker. The Athletics team logo patch is present on the left sleeve. This jersey is unique in that it was worn early in the 1990 season and then taken out of circulation because the placement of the "ATHLETICS" on the front of the jersey was too high. The team eventually corrected this anomaly but not until they had been used April 9-11 against Minnesota and April 19-22 against Seattle. Unique gamer from Rickey's best overall season as Henderson won the American League MVP Award in 1990. This coveted Henderson jersey is brand new to the hobby and was originally sourced directly from the Oakland Athletics. The team sold the jerseys to "Ball 4 Sport Co." who, in turn listed the entire run of A's jerseys (42 in all) in a June 8th, 1990 SCD Ad.
