Johnny Bench 1979 Cincinnati Reds game used road gray jersey features "BENCH" across the back of the jersey as well as "5" on the front and back in red tackle twill. "CINCINNATI" is sewn on the front in red tackle twill. The inside tail of the jersey features a "Wilson 44" manufacturer's/size tag as well as "79 1" year/set swatch sewn in. The jersey shows excellent overall game use with fabric pilling on the back of the jersey from the catchers gears as well as prominent under arm pilling. Bench has signed the front of the jersey in blue marker. High quality gamer of the Reds Hall of Fame catcher. Bench won 2 NL MVP Awards, was NL Rookie of the Year in 1968, was named to 14 All-Star Games and won 10 Gold Glove Awards during his 17 year career with the Reds. This coveted Bench gamer is brand new to the hobby and was originally acquired from a reliable source back on November 15th, 1992.
