Description: Lance Alworth c. 1960's game used San Diego Chargers home powder blue durene jersey. This jersey was likely used by the AFL star wide receiver in the later 1960's due to the bolt placement as well as the name on back placement in relation to the numbering on back. The jersey shows quality overall use as evident by the 3 team repairs throughout the jersey. The number "19" is applied in white tackle twill to chest, back, and below the bolts on each sleeve. "ALWORTH" is sewn across the rear nameplate in block lettering. The jersey measures to a size 46 though the Sand Knit tag has long been absent. Aside from the team repairs, the jersey is all original and exhibits solid and consistent overall use. Very important game used jersey of the AFL Hall of Fame wide receiver. Alworth played from 1962-1970 with the Chargers before finishing his final 2 seasons with the Dallas Cowboys in 1971-72.
Accompanied by a Letter of Authenticity from noted game used jersey expert Dave Miedema authenticating its use. Miedema concludes: "After a thorough examination of this Lance Alworth game used jersey, it is my opinion that this jersey is authentic as described and can be attributed to being used by Alworth c. 1968-69 seasons with the San Diego Chargers."
