Official Warren Giles National League baseball signed by 26 members of the 1957 World Series Champion Milwaukee Braves. signatures include: Hank Aaron, Warren Spahn, Eddie Mathews, Any Pafko, Lew Burdette, Bobby Thomson and Gene Conley (who would win three NBA World Championships with the Boston Celtics in the years to come). The Fred Haney signature on the sweet spot has been deemed a clubhouse signature. This particular baseball was originally the property of Warren Spahn. The Hall of Fame pitcher entered a butcher shop in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to purchase meat and did not have enough cash to pay for the purchase. He asked the butcher if he would take a signed baseball for the balance and the butcher agree to the transaction, thus the baseball passed from the hands of Warren Spahn into the hands of a Milwaukee area butcher. The 1957 season was truly special for the Braves as they defeated the vaunted New York Yankees to bring the city of Milwaukee their one and only World Series Championship.
