Description: The knit jersey features "THAYER" across the back in red tackle twill as well as "TWINS" across the chest and his number "34" on both sides, all in red-on-blue tackle twill. The front tail of the jersey features a "77 3" year/set swatch. Wilson size 42 jersey had its number changed and issued to Thayer for 1978 Spring Training with the Twins. He wore #18 during the regular season. Odd to see a #34 Minnesota Twins jersey not belonging to legendary HOF'er Kirby Puckett who would wear this #34 just a few years later with the Twins. The jersey shows moderate to heavy evidence of game use.

Miedema concludes: "After a thorough examination of this Greg Thayer game used jersey, it is my opinion that this jersey is authentic as described and can be attributed to being used by Thayer during 1978 Spring Training while playing with the Minnesota Twins."
