These rings were only offered to season ticket holders, and executives in the front office, to commemorate the Lakers dominance starting with the 1979/80 season, led by Head-Coach Paul Westhead, and then legendary Pat Riley, plus greats: Kareem Abdul Jabbar, Magic Johnson, Norm Nixon, James Worthy, Jamaal Wilkes Michael Cooper, Kurt Rambis, Bob McAdoo, Mitch Kupchak, Byron, Scott, A.C. Green, Mychal Thompson, to name a few!
