Extremely rare Brunners Bread card of legendary HOF'er Honus Wagner produced by General Baking Co. of Buffalo, NY from 1911-14. This example has a great full body pose of Wagner following through with his swing. The card is well centered and shows quality, vivid color and registration. The offered example has light and even corner wear and a brief wrinkle in the lower left corner to account for the grade. The text on the reverse is clear and the back is free of any stock loss. This rare cardboard featuring the Flying Dutchman has been graded a PSA 3 VG overall. The D304 set is very similar in design to tobacco and candy card of the era. The slight difference is the cards are a bit larger measuring 1-3/4" x 2-1/2". The cards are available with five different back styles; Brunners, Butter Krust, General Baking Co, Weber Bakery, and Martens Bakery. According to population reports there is only 4 of these cards in existence to earn a higher grade. A PSA 4 recently sold in May, 2008 for $44,110 and a PSA 8 sold in September 2008 for $78,945. This unique Wagner card would be a welcomed addition to any card collection.
