This lot features an exceedingly rare Duke Blue Devils 2001 NCAA Championship 10K gold ring. This ring was made by Masters of Design and Henry Kay jewelers. This scarce size 9.5-10 Shane Battier ring is made from 10K gold, weighs 31.5 grams and has the "10K" stamped inside the ring. This is not to be confused with Shane Battier's own personal ring but rather an extra that was made by the manufacturer. Duke defeated Arizona 82–72 in the National Championship game to win their third national title and first since 1992. Shane Battier was named the tournament's Most Outstanding Player. The game was played at the Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome in Minneapolis. MN. Coach Mike Krzyzewski has announced that 2021-22 will be the final season of his illustrious career. Coach K will finish with over 200 wins more than his closest competition and has coached Duke to 5 NCAA Titles (1991, 1992, 2001, 2010, 2015). Very rare treasure that is sure to appeal to any ring connoisseur or Duke Blue Devil fan.
