Blonde Don Mattingly 1985 New York Yankees Louisville Slugger Professional Model Bat exhibiting heavy game use. The M110 model bats have been characteristic of Don Mattingly since his first H & B order in 1980. This bat contains some of Mattingly’s known personal characteristics, specifically his uniform number 23, written on the knob in characteristic style and an often seen identifiable pattern of pine tar on the handle. There are seam marks and ink transfers evidenced on the barrel, which are often seen on Mattingly gamers. Also present are ball marks, hit marks, rack marks, and cleat marks, all indicating game use. Additional orders matching this bat’s dimensions were manufactured during this label period in 1983 and 1984; However, the use of foil stamping on the barrel label (player’s name) is exclusive to 1985. Great Mattingly bat from the prime of Donnie Baseball's career. Mattingly won the AL MVP in 1985 with 35 HR's, 145 RBI and a .324 BA.
