This jersey is made by Russell and is a size 46, the norm for early career Jeter gamers. Tagging in the outer front left tail includes the Russell label, which includes the size (46), a strip tag citing the year (1994), and, flagged underneath, a fabric content tag identifying the jersey fabric as Intera. This was a fabric that was created by Russell, and was used in the manufacture of a limited number of MLB uniforms for 1992-93. A very limited number of 1994 Russell gamers were made with Intera as well. The jersey, made in 1994, carried an MLB 125th Anniversary patch on the right sleeve, however, the premature ending of the 1994 season prevented Jeter from being called up to the majors when rosters would have been expanded in September. In 1995, Jeter appeared in his first MLB game on 5/29/95. At that point, the MLB 125th Anniversary patch on the right sleeve was removed, and added to the left sleeve was a black memoriam armband and a black "7" above it, eulogizing Yankees legend Mickey Mantle. Jeter appeared in 19 regular season games that year. While he suited up for the ALDS against Seattle, he did not appear in the series. Overall, the jersey shows light wear. Accompanied by an LOA from Dave Miedema.
