This jersey is made by Majestic and is a size 48. The jersey has the code 0062, correct for pro-issue knit jerseys in 2001. The jersey itself is solid white with the team logo of the open-sided star on the left chest. The NOB plate and the number on the back are both affixed with triple-tackle twill characters. The left sleeve bears the team 40th Anniversary patch, which covers the Colt.45’s era (1962-64) and the Astros nickname, used ever since. The jersey style was only worn sporadically in 2001, primarily in the early part of the season. The American flag patch was added to jerseys for post-9/11 games, however, I have yet to find a game photo in which Biggio was wearing this jersey style with the flag on it post-9/11. The flag was probably added in the event that the team chose to wear these uniforms in the postseason. The jersey shows moderate wear. Accompanied by an LOA from Dave Miedema.
