He pitched a complete game, gave up 6 hits, 2 runs and struck out 8, for his 17th and final victory in his 1985 All Star campaign. On the baseball he inscribed his year end stats as well: 206 total strikeouts, lead league in innings 293 2/3, Shutouts 5, Complete Games 24 and Strikeouts 206.
