Russell Athletic home white knit button-down garment features “PADRES” sewn across the chest in blue-on-white-on-orange triple twill, the latter layer giving a “shadowed” effect. In the identical color scheme, Gwynn's since-retired number “19” is sewn to the back and “GWYNN” is arched just above in solid blue twill. The left sleeve is home to a team logo patch, and the right sleeve is adorned by a Jackie Robinson 50th Anniversary patch. On the left front tail, a “RUSSELL ATHLETIC” size “48” label is accompanied by a fabric content flap tag. Solid wear is evident with puckering and fraying. Gwynn won an incredible 8 National League batting titles with the Padres with his final one coming during this 1997 season when he led the league with a .372 BA and 220 hits. Gwynn is a HOF'er and a member of baseball's elite 3,000 Hit Club.
