Incredibly unique Reggie Jackson Rawlings Adirondack Big Stick professional model 384B bat from Jackson's last season in the Major Leagues and, more specifically, his last home game in Oakland. The bat shows quality overall use with ball marks, cleat marks, small handle crack and blue ink transfer marks. This bat carries impeccable provenance as it was given to Ozzie Guillen by Reggie Jackson himself after the game played on Reggie Jackson day in Oakland on September 27th, 1984, the last game that Reggie Jackson appeared in a home uniform. Reggie has signed the bat in Spanish to his friend Ozzie and dated Sept. 27, 1987. Translated, the bat has been signed "To my best friend Oswaldo, your best friend Reggie Jackson, Mr. October Sept. 27, 1987". The Oakland A's had just completed a 3 game series with the White Sox in Oakland during Ozzie's 3rd season in the big leagues. The 2 stars had developed a close relationship as evident by Reggie's inscription. Reggie pinch hit the first 2 games of the series on Friday and Saturday the 25th and 26th. He dressed for the game played on Reggie Jackson day on the 27th but didn't appear in that game. Reggie would conclude his Hall of Fame career a week later in Chicago on October 4th going 2 for 3 with an RBI double.
