Signatures and teams include: Gordie Howe (Detroit Red Wings), Bobby Orr (Boston Bruins), Bobby Hull (Chicago Black Hawks), Ed Giacomin (New York Rangers), Jean Beliveau (Montreal Canadiens) and Darryl Sittler (Toronto Maple Leafs). For the first 25 years of the NHL’s existence, 1942-1967, there were only six teams that made up the league the Boston Bruins, Chicago Black Hawks, Detroit Red Wings, Montreal Canadiens, New York Rangers, and the Toronto Maple Leafs. They refer to this group as the Original Six. This is truly a great investment piece.
