This lot features a 1991 Minnesota Twins World Series Championship ring with all real gold and diamonds (10K Gold) presented to scout Floyd Baker. Without a doubt, one of the most exciting World Series ever played. ESPN, in their World Series 100th Anniversary countdown, selected the 1991 World Series as the Greatest of All-Time. The memorable '91 series had five of its games decided by a single run, four games decided in the final at bat and had three games go into extra innings. The Twins took the Fall Classic in exciting walk-off fashion, 4 games to 3. This beautiful ring has 5 brilliant diamonds mounted on top, and is exactly the same ring that was presented to players Kirby Puckett, Kent Hrbek, Chuck Knoblauch and Jack Morris as well as Manager Tom Kelly. Crafted by JOSTENS, this perfect example has all the proper markings stamped inside 10K and "c" in a circle for copyright and Jostens. This coveted ring measures to a size 12.5 and weighs 35.8 grams of solid 10K Gold. Floyd Baker played in the majors from 1943-1955. In 1961, he was hired as the third base coach for the Minnesota Twins, a position he held until 1964. Baker served as a scout for the Twins until his retirement in 1995. Rare opportunity to obtain a piece of baseball history as 1991 Twins World Series Championship rings are rarely offered.
