This lot features an exceedingly RARE Minnesota Twins 1987 World Series Championship Trophy acquired directly from Dave Mona, the retired founder and CEO of Mona, Meyer & McGrath. This 1987 Trophy is the holy grail for Twins collectors as it is far more difficult to find, let alone acquire, than the 1991 Trophy. This visually appealing trophy is approximately 12.75" high, 7.25" diameter (22.5" circumference), and weighs 5.4 lbs. The Twins defeated the St. Louis Cardinals in a riveting 7 game series in which the home team won every game. The proceeds from this item will be donated to the Minnesota Twins Community Fund. Accompanied by a letter of provenance from Dave Mona.
