This unique lot features the actual game ball from the football game played on October 31st, 1931 between the Minnesota Gophers and Wisconsin Badgers. The Gophers defeated the Badgers 14-0 that day to win the "Slab of Bacon" trophy that was given to the winning team in this rivalry from 1930-1943 before they switched to the Paul Bunyan Axe. The ball was originally on display in the Trophy case at the University of Minnesota and is a treasured piece of Golden Gophers history.
