This unique lot features the actual game ball from the football game played on October 24th, 1934 between the Minnesota Gophers and Pittsburgh Panthers. The Gophers defeated the Panthers 13-7 that day and would go on to win the NCAA College Football National Championship in 1934. The ball was originally on display in the Trophy case at the University of Minnesota and is a treasured piece of Golden Gophers history from perhaps its best season ever. The Gophers went 8-0 in 1934 and outscored their opponents 270-38 in one of the most dominant college football seasons a football teams has ever had.
