Mel Ott 1951 Autographed Government Postcard PSA 8 NM/MT

This lot features a beautiful Mel Ott autographed 1951 government postcard. Ott along with Babe Ruth and Jimmie Foxx are the most difficult of the elite 500 Home Run club signatures to acquire. Ott's high-kicking left-handed swing and the quirky dimensions of his home Polo Grounds park helped Master Melvin become the 3rd member of the 500 Home Run Club. Here he supplies a 9/10 blue fountain pen signature on a young fan's self-addressed penny postcard. Encapsulated by PSA/DNA and grade a NM-MT 8.
