This first one is a “Mean” Joe Greene 1974 Pittsburgh Steelers Super Bowl IX Championship 10K Gold & Diamond Ring with extremely rare original wood presentation box. The ring has the player’s name “GREENE” on the side. The 10k gold and diamond ring was made by Jostens, measures size 10.25-10.5, weighs 41.5 grams and remains in NRMT-NMT/MT condition. The original wood presentation box remains in MINT condition has “Joe Greene” engraved on top. Mean Joe Greene is a member of the National Football League Hall of Fame and was a key piece of the Pittsburgh Steelers “Steel Curtain Defense”. The Steelers upset the Minnesota Vikings 16-6 to win Super Bowl IX. Greene actually had this ring made for his dear friend Bob Lettieri. The gold and diamond ring was made by Jostens and has “Best Wishes Bob Lettieri, “Mean” Joe Greene” engraved inside. Joe still has his ring. That ring would likely command $150-250k if it were to ever be made available. This is the only ring ordered for him that has ever surfaced.
