This lot features a rare and aesthetically appealing New York Yankees 2009 Championship ring measuring to a size 14.5. This ring was made by Balfour and given to a New York Yankees employee. It has "NY" in cz diamonds on the face along with "WORLD CHAMPIONS 2009". On one shank, the ring reads: "YANKEES" & "TRADITION" along with an image of the new Yankee Stadium. The other shank has a Yankees logo and reads: "2009" and "UNITY". It has the Balfour markings etched inside the ring and is accompanied by the original Balfour box in which it was given to the employee. The Yankees defeated the Phillies in 2009 to usher in the "New Yankee Stadium" with a World Series Championship. These rings hold great value in its sheer rarity. The players version, when available, sell for in excess of $40,000.
