This lot features a Kirby Puckett game used 1987 Don Baylor World Series bat. Kirby Puckett used the bat during his 1988 season with the Minnesota Twins. Rawlings Adirondack model 425A game used bat exhibiting excellent overall use. The bat measures 35 inches, weighs 33.2 ounces and has ball marks, ball stitch impressions, grain swelling, checking, pine tar and #34 WIN written on the knob in silver marker. The bat has a barrel crack which eventually took it out of circulation. The fact that this bat was made for use by Don Baylor for the 1987 World Series leaves open the possibility that either Baylor or Puckett could have actually used it in the World Series though neither made clean enough contact as evident by the lack of blue ink transfer marks common among the 1987 World Series bats. There is a PSA/DNA Authentication hologram on the barrel (1B26866). The bat was graded a GU 7.5 by PSA/DNA. Highly coveted and extremely rare Puckett game used bat.
