Description: This Kareem Abdul-Jabbar 1980-85 Los Angeles Lakers road purple mesh jersey features "LAKERS" across the chest and "ABDUL-JABBAR" on the back in gold-on-white tackle twill as well as his number "33" on both sides in white-on-gold tackle twill. The front bottom middle tail of the jersey features a "Tiernan" manufacturer's tag. The jersey measures to a size 40 which is appropriate for the era. Tiernan was the supplier for Lakers jerseys from 1975-1985 but didn't attached size tags. The jersey shows moderate to heavy evidence of game use.
Accompanied by a Letter of Authenticity from noted game used jersey expert Dave Miedema authenticating its use. Miedema concludes: "After a thorough examination of this Kareem Abdul-Jabbar game used jersey, it is my opinion that this jersey is authentic as described and can be attributed to being used by Kareem during the 1980-85 era while playing with the Los Angeles Lakers."
Also accompanied by a Letter of Authenticity from noted game used jersey experts MEARS Authentication. MEARS has assigned final grade of A10 to this historic jersey, the highest grade that can be given. The 1980-85 era was immensely successful for Kareem and the Lakers as they went to the NBA Finals 4 times, winning the NBA Championship twice during that span. An absolute stunning piece of Lakers history as Kareem remains #1 All-Time in points scored and is arguably on of the top 2-3 player to ever play in the NBA.
