Eddie Matthews was a professional baseball player who spent most of his career with the Milwaukee Braves and is considered one of the greatest third basemen in Major League history. Matthews was a powerful hitter who hit 512 home runs during his career, was named to the All-Star team 12 times, and won two National League home run titles.
