This lot features the actual home plate that was used in Yankee Stadium during the 2011 season. It is not unusual for any of the three bases to occasionally become available but it is very rare that an actual home plate is offered to the general public. Home plates are both deep and heavy and aren't switched out very often. This was the home plate that was used in Yankee Stadium as Derek Jeter collected hit number 2,946 against the Chicago White Sox through hit number 2,959 against the Toronto Blue Jays. Very unique New York Yankees and Derek Jeter collectible.
