Boston Red Sox home Carl Yastrzemski button down knit jersey exhibiting quality overall use. The jersey has "RED SOX" sewn on front and "8" sewn on back in red on blue tackle twill. The Wilson manufacturers tag and size 44 tag are sewn into the front tail. Yastrzemski jerseys are highly coveted by collectors and difficult to find as most that have them aren't willing to sell them. The 1983 year tag is sewn into the collar. Provenance is very important on these particular jerseys and this one is accompanied by rock solid provenance as it was originally acquired directly from Carl Yastrzemski himself. Yaz has signed the inside collar of this beautiful jersey in blue marker though it has faded a bit over time. Yastrzemski is a member of baseball's exclusive 3,000 Hit Club and also added 452 career HR's. Accompanied by a detailed letter of provenance. Great Yaz jersey ready for display.
