This lot features a black Cal Ripken Jr. c. 1991-97 Baltimore Orioles Louisville Slugger Professional Model bat exhibiting excellent overall use. This is a classic Cal Ripken Jr. bat, a P72 model he used almost exclusively throughout his career. This bat contains Ripken's known personal game used traits with ball marks, hit marks, blue ink transfer marks, cleat marks, pine tar and #8 written on the knob in faded silver marker. This unbroken bat is an excellent example from the prime of Junior’s Hall of Fame career in which his 3,184 hits rank 15th all time. Cal is a member of baseball's exclusive 3,000 Hit Club and also slammed 431 career HR's. Ripken has also signed the bat in bold silver marker.
