This lot features an attractive Babe Ruth autographed baseball signed by "The Great Bambino" on the side panel in blue fountain pen "To Billy From Babe Ruth". The signature itself is very nice and large taking up the entire side panel. The official William Harrdge American League baseball remains in nice condition overall. The "Babe" remains the most sought after autograph in baseball history and this one is one of the nicest ones you will ever lay eyes on. Mint Ruth balls fetch over $100,000. Ruth completely dominated his sports more than any other athlete in history. He was actually a pitcher for the first 5 years of his career and actually won the the first of his 12 American League Home Run Title with 11 HR's in 1918 while hitting part time on game that he pitched! Ruth began playing and hitting everyday in 1920 and his HR total rocketed to 54 when other "Home Run Hitters" from the era would end the year in single digits. Important to note that there are no signature removals from this ball making a true Babe Ruth single signed that are becoming even more difficult to find.
