This lot features an absolutely stunning Babe Ruth autographed baseball signed by "The Great Bambino" on the sweet spot in black fountain pen. The signature itself is stunning in that it is large and bold. The Goldsmith baseball remains in nice condition with bold and perfectly legible stamping. The "Babe" remains the most sought after autograph in baseball history and this one is one of the nicest ones you will ever lay eyes on. Mint Ruth balls fetch over $100,000. Ruth completely dominated his sports more than any other athlete in history. He was actually a pitcher for the first 5 years of his career and actually won the the first of his 12 American League Home Run Title with 11 HR's in 1918 while hitting part time on game that he pitched! Ruth began playing and hitting everyday in 1920 and his HR total rocketed to 54 when other "Home Run Hitters" from the era would end the year in single digits.
