Babe Ruth autographed baseballs continue to be the number one item on every autograph collectors wish list. Babe Ruth has penned his signature to this 1940's Spalding Official League ball. The signature, while slightly lightened over time, is attractively placed across the sweet spot in black steel-tip ink and remains clearly legible, unhindered by toning marks or any type of scuffing or handling. The ball itself presents quite nicely, with two of the panels showing little evidence of age or toning while the stitching remains entirely intact in a deep, crimson red. The south panel of the ball does have the name and reference "Fred Park, Mayor M. City in a lighter version of the same ink that does not distract from the overall appearance. Displays beautifully as a Babe Ruth single signed baseball. Great opportunity to acquire this treasure. If not for the reference on the side panel, this ball would be in the $30-35k price range based on the quality of the signature and baseball.
