This lot features a 2014 MLB All-Star Game collection that includes tickets, media kits, & more. The 2014 All-Star Game was held at Target Field in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and featured many of baseball's biggest stars. The American League team, managed by John Farrell of the Boston Red Sox, was led by Derek Jeter in his final All-Star Game appearance. The National League team, managed by Mike Matheny of the St. Louis Cardinals, included sluggers like Troy Tulowitzki and Yasiel Puig. The game itself was a tightly contested affair, with the American League taking an early lead before the National League came back to tie it in the 6th inning. In the end, the American League prevailed in the 12th inning thanks to a clutch RBI double by MVP Mike Trout, giving the American League its first All-Star Game victory in three years. The game was memorable not only for its exciting finish but also for the tribute paid to Derek Jeter, who received a standing ovation from the crowd and was honored with a special pre-game ceremony.
