This lot features a 1983 Mitch Webster Toronto Blue Jays Game Model Jersey. The jersey has the tear/size tag sewn in but was never worn by the player. This jersey was acquired by our consignor directly from a Wilson jersey representative back in 1983 and has remained in his possession until now. Great jersey to have signed by the player to create a very unique collectible. Mitch Webster is a former professional baseball player who played for several Major League teams over the course of his 13-year career, including the Toronto Blue Jays, Los Angeles Dodgers, Montreal Expos, Chicago Cubs, and Cleveland Indians. He was primarily an outfielder and was known for his speed and ability to steal bases. Over the course of his career, Webster amassed 1,364 hits and stole 235 bases. He was also a key member of the 1988 Los Angeles Dodgers team that won the World Series. After retiring from baseball, Webster went on to become a coach and instructor, and has worked with several Major League teams in various coaching roles.
