This lot features a 1983 Mickey Rivers Texas Rangers Game Model Jersey. The jersey has the tear/size tag sewn in but was never worn by the player. This jersey was acquired by our consignor directly from a Wilson jersey representative back in 1983 and has remained in his possession until now. Great jersey to have signed by the player to create a very unique collectible. Mickey Rivers is a former professional baseball player who spent 15 seasons in the Major Leagues playing primarily as a center fielder. He is widely regarded as one of the fastest and most agile players of his time, with excellent range and an ability to cover a lot of ground in the outfield. Rivers was a two-time All-Star and helped lead the New York Yankees to two World Series championships in 1977 and 1978. He was known for his excellent hitting and baserunning skills, as well as his flashy personality both on and off the field. Rivers was a beloved figure among fans and teammates, and his contributions to the game are still celebrated today.
