This lot features a 1983 George Brett Kansas City Royals Game Model Jersey. The jersey has the tear/size tag sewn in but was never worn by the player. This jersey was acquired by our consignor directly from a Wilson jersey representative back in 1983 and has remained in his possession until now. Great jersey to have signed by the player to create a very unique collectible. George Brett is a former professional baseball player who spent his entire 21-year career with the Kansas City Royals. He was known for his outstanding hitting ability and is widely regarded as one of the greatest third basemen of all time. Brett won three batting titles during his career, and finished with a lifetime batting average of .305. He was also a 13-time All-Star, a Gold Glove winner, and a one-time American League MVP. Brett helped lead the Royals to the World Series in 1980 and 1985, with the latter team winning the championship. He is still closely associated with the Royals organization and is a beloved figure in Kansas City. Brett was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1999.
